Wow. I haven’t posted in almost a month. Sorry about that! I start a blog and life decides to get busy. That’s how it works right? What have I been up to? Let’s see….
New Job!
I got a job at…. The Buy More. Now, you’re probably going… why did I get a job there when I love books? Well… I happen to really love technology. With out technology, my experiences with a certain series called Harry Potter would have been much less life transforming. For those of you who don’t know, I work on one of the most trusted Harry Potter news sites, The Leaky Cauldron. But that’s a whole other post.
I’m a customer service specialist at The Buy More. I actually just run a cash register. The people I work with are awesome, and it’s really quite fun to work there. And the discount rocks. 
Hey, will you guys do me a favor? When you go to Buy More and the cashier offers you a Product Replacement Plan or Service Plan? Please get it. Really. It’s makes our jobs awesome. You’d really make that persons day. So please and thank you!
Birthday Month…
October is when everyone in my family was born. Except me, as I’m in June. And I mean everyone. Parents, brothers, sister in law, and my niece. Let’s just say it’s been pretty nuts with the cake and presents fun.
Harry Potter (spoilers…)
JK Rowling was in the US on her “Open Book Tour” this week. Today she read in NYC on her last stop on the tour. Big news? Dumbledore is Gay. Neville married Hannah Abbot. And Hannah runs the Leaky Cauldron pub. (I quite liked that touch.) For more info go here.
New Weekly Book Review/Recommendation
I really want to start a new “segment” of sorts. I love reading (duh), and am always looking for more interesting books to read. So I thought I’d read a book a week and post what I think of it. Just to help some of you if you’re looking for some news books to read. But to do that, I need some recommendations from you guys! If you know of a really good book you think I should read, please comment with it!

Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Maragaret Weis and Tracy Hickman
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Those are both good ones. The first one if obviously a fantasy and you probably know the second one; it’s a classic.

The Sweep series by Cate Tierman
There are 15 of them so you’ll have a lot to read =) But they’re really good. I’m on book 6 and totally hooked.
