I have been around online, just not posting here. Sorry about that!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! (Wow, I’m so late with that. Oops!)
If’ you’d like to hear more of my random musings, follow me on Twitter. If you’re new to Twitter, Dave Delaney has an great tutorial here that should help you! It really helped me, and I’ve been a bit of a Twitter addict since then. I’ve met quite a few cool people along the way too!
I’ll be attending an “unconference” with Nashville geeks called PodCamp Nashville on February 9th. Their press release is here for a lot of info on the event. From the press release:
“Members of the marketing, business, design, technology and music industries will gather at the historic Cannery Ballroom on February 9, 2008, for PodCamp Nashville, a nine hour “unconference” that aims to promote education, innovation and collaboration between technology and media professionals and Nashville’s blogging and podcasting communities.”
I’m really excited for it! If you’d like to come, just go to the website and register. It’s free!!
Work has been really good. I just got my review, and I did really well! I got a raise (woot!), and I’m also on Best Buy’s community outreach committee, Viewpoint. I’ll post some more celebrity sightings soon. Really. I just had my fourth Black Amex card today. Still can’t believe those things are METAL!
I’m going to NYC Jan. 11th through the 14th. My good friend and “boss” Melissa Anelli has written a book about the phenomenon that is Harry Potter, and the past 10 years since the first book was published. She’s just turned in the first draft, so she’s throwing a party for her family and friends to celebrate us, Harry Potter, the book, and life. It’s going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to go. I’ve never been to NYC before, so please comment with “must see” things I need to do! I know I’ll be twittering tons from NYC this weekend, so follow that if you’d like to hear about my trip in “real time.”
That’s it for now. I’ll be back next week with photos from my trip and some fun stories! See you all then!
