Hah. Yeah. Barely anyone reads this blog, but I sure did miss this blog while I was fixing my idiot mistake. Here’s the low down on why this place was a lame picture of a girl with a backpack for a few days.
In July, I decided to tranfer my domain name from Google Apps (cause they suck. it may work for some people, but definitely not for me) to GoDaddy. I didn’t catch an email from GoDaddy saying that I had to talk to Google about my privacy settings to get the authorization to transfer my domain. So I just thought that it was all set to go. Fast forward to Tuesday, Sept 22nd, the date my domain expired with Google. I went to pull up my blog at work to show a friend/co-worker something, and it’s not there. Just… gone.
Needless to say, I was not happy and a little panic-y. I finally found the email from GoDaddy, and I tried to contact GoogleApps. Let’s just say they take their time in responding to emails, so I waited for days to find out my authoriztion code to let me transfer. I think they were just taking their time cause they didn’t want me to transfer, but whatever. After a few emails back and forth, I finally get the authorization.
So there’s the long-ish story. The moral of the story? Be sure to pay attention to any emails godaddy sends you (and yes, I know. they send you a million of them) cause you may end up like me and screwed for a few days with no blog.
Boy am I happy to be back.
I’ll be blogging more. Really.
