Be very aware of all relationships, body language, feedback, etc with every conversation you have.
Find your niche that you excel in, and kick ass in it!
Everybody heckles each other, it depends on how you take it and use it.
Start small, work up to the huge projects.
Don’t lose your ability to learn along the way or to ask smart questions.
The key is to find your personal balance between work, family, and friends.

I’m sad I couldn’t make it to BarCamp–I heard it was a great turnout! I have a question about one of the quotes above and I’m hoping you (or someone else who was there) could clarify:
“Alyson recommends to play golf with the boys to show them you have skills.”
Did she mean play golf w/ boys to show you have golf skills? Or tech skills? Just curious about the context here…
